Participants become familiar with different PHA methodologies and gain a practical perspective on conducting PHA sessions through hands-on exercises based on real examples.
Day 1 – PHA Fundamentals and Preparation Process
• Overview of process safety and PHA
• Purpose, scope, and role of PHA within business processes
• Overview of PHA methodologies (HAZOP, What-if, etc.)
• Principles of hazard identification and scenario development
• Node selection approach based on P&IDs
• PHA team structure and the role of the leader
• Preparation and planning for a PHA study
Day 2 – Analysis Techniques and Facilitation
• Detailed application of the HAZOP methodology
• Deviation analysis, cause-effect relationships, and risk assessment
• FTA, ETA, FMEA, and other supporting techniques
• Effective management of PHA sessions
• Team communication and facilitation techniques
• PHA documentation and recording methods
• Exercises based on example scenarios
Day 3 – Application and Leadership Skills
• Practical PHA study (Mock Study)
• Participants conducting analyses by taking on the leadership role
• Evaluation and reporting of PHA outputs
• Addressing actions and reviewing results
• Improving quality and efficiency in PHA studies
• Common mistakes and best practices
